Donnetta Herold

Certified Functional Medicine Health Coach

Donnetta Herold received her pharmacy training at West Virginia University. Soon after, she became a military spouse leading to frequent relocations and opportunities to work in various pharmacy settings including hospital, government, retail chain and independent community pharmacy. Finally settling in the CSRA and working consistently in the independent community setting, Donnetta found that she truly enjoyed getting to know her patients.

In the pharmacy practice setting, many patients had chronic health conditions (high blood pressure, diabetes, etc.) requiring monthly medication refills. These patients seemed to be getting worse over time and adding more medications was discouraging for both Donnetta and the patients. Around the same time, her daughter developed chronic stomach pain that seemed to have no answers after visits with doctors, specialists and numerous tests and medications. Finally, Donnetta was put in touch with a functional medicine provider who was able to help her daughter dramatically by treating the root cause. After struggling with thyroid issues herself for several years, it was a functional medicine provider that was able to help Donnetta get her strength and energy back. She was intrigued and began to wonder if these same principles could help her patients at the pharmacy. And so her journey with functional medicine began, and her passion for helping people live their most healthy lives continues to grow.

In addition to her training as a pharmacist, Donnetta is a Certified Functional Medicine Health Coach and a member of the Institute for Functional Medicine. She is also a member of Worldlink Medical and is currently working on certification in hormone optimization. She enjoys reading, working out, serving at her church, and spending time with her friends and family. She lives in Evans with her husband and dog.
